I thought I'd give you all a little update, seeing as this is now the second week that I haven't been able to post due to my hand/wrist injury.
With the World Championships in London, Ontario well under way, the skating world is all hustle-bustle with outrage (Ten/Chan, anyone?) and adoration (Yuna Kim making her comeback, anyone?), and I've been glued to my Twitter feed and YouTube (for the lack of Eurosport or other TV channel that actually shows any skating). It's been really frustrating not being able to publish my regular blog posts here, but I hope that you are following me on Twitter where I'm managing to continue to post my "Tip of the Day" for a better skating life!
So what's up with me not being able to post anyway? Well, as you may or may not know, I've been suffering with chronic tendinitis (inflammation of the tendons) in my right hand and wrist for going on 3 years now. And when it flares up, boy does it go to town (no writing, typing, ironing, opening bottles or jars, picking things up, or pretty much anything else that involves using my hand). Unfortunately I seem to have graduated to nervous pain in the past week, and the doctor has finally decided that I should see an orthopaedic surgeon. So I'm waiting on that appointment, and I'll have more news then!
So until I have more news / the ability to type again, here's wishing you all happy skating!
Until next time, don't forget to enjoy the end of Worlds 2013!
XOXO

I am nine years old. I have never had lessons, but I'm fairly good at figure skating. Any beginner tips?
